How did you get into film? What particularly attracted you to become part of this industry?
Film has always fascinated me: Immersing myself in a completely foreign world for 90 minutes, experiencing the emotional highs and lows of the protagonists, or also the possibility of understanding the most diverse topics through a documentary.
For me, the combination with my second great passion, music, was obvious. Music and sound bring an additional, emotional level to the image or film: within seconds and with just a few sounds, great feelings can be conveyed. And that’s exactly what I’ve always been passionate about. Fortunately, I was able to deepen this passion by studying audio and video at the Multimedia Art University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg.
What distinguishes Tirol as film region for you?
Tirol is a land of impressive nature, distinctive seasons and a well-developed infrastructure – it is clear that this attracts productions from all over the world. In recent years, the quality and quantity of filmmakers in Tirol has also noticeably increased.
We are curious: Tell us your favourite location in Tirol!
As a native of the Wipptal, I am still very often ‚Dahoam‘ in the mountains of the side valleys. Here I still know some undiscovered places that still radiate wildness and authenticity for me. But also in Innsbruck you can still find some wonderful routes off the beaten track – be it on the mountains or in the city.

Since 2008, I have been lucky enough to have turned my passion into my profession and to compose music and sound design for a variety of different clients, such as Google, Patagonia or MontBlanc. Especially in the field of advertising, these projects have repeatedly won international awards: Cannes Lion, Clio, ADC, D&DA, CCA or the Webby Award.
I still consider it a privilege to work as part of a team with great, motivated people from the most diverse fields to ultimately realise projects that inspire and move people.
